Background
Grey Pearl is a Foreign Direct Investment from The Netherlands dedicated to innovate the construction sector in Ethiopia. This sector tends to be conservative while the government is pushing for innovation. One of the focus areas of the government is to shift to precast construction. The target is to have 50% of all construction done by precast technology in 2027 (H. Getachew, Director of Change Ethiopia). The reason for this is that both the economy and te population is growing rapidly which results in an every growing demand for residential housing.
Grey Pearl, established in December 2022, brings innovation to the Ethiopian construction sector by providing high quality prefab elements in Ethiopia. Next to innovation and transfer of knowledge,the company will benefit the local community and stimulate the local economy. Grey Pearl is a social employer which values the well-being of the employees.

Through the transfer of knowledge, we contribute in our way to the development of individuals, the local community and the country.
